It's 100% cotton  terry cloth blend surface that provides comfort and absorbancy. It has a special breathing (polyurethane) film on the back, which allows heat and moisture to breathe through while blocking off besmirch, liquid, bacteria and other hypersusceptibility materials from bed mattress.
